"One more thing you need to think about when you're camping is sleep ware. You need to have some clothes that are comfortable that you could sleep in. Some people are worried about being cold, and so they think, oh, I'm going to wear my jacket when I'm sleeping, and my leggings and everything else, and to be honest, when you're sleeping, wearing all that extra clothing doesn't keep you warmer. You know, having the, if you have actually less clothing on, like if you sleep in a T-shirt and a pair of shorts, you're going to have all the extra air that is inside the sleeping bag with you, and that's going to warm up to the temperature of your body heat and that's actually what's going to be keeping you warm is that air insulation. And so the more clothing you wear, the colder you're going to be. So, be sure to wear something warm at night and this is the one time I'm going to say that it's probably OK to wear cotton, because you're going to be in your sleeping bag inside your tent with the rain fly on, and there's no reason that you should be getting those clothes wet. And I find cotton to be more comfortable, and so I always choose cotton for my sleep ware when I'm camping."
