"When you're pitching your tent you can't ground, you're going to want to find the flattest spot possible. Now given you're probably hiking in the mountains and so flat isn't always available, but, my preference, second best to flat is to be having my head uphill, because, if you're sliding to the bottom of the tent, it's not that abnormal to kind of curl up into a fatal position, but if your head is kind of crushing to the bottom of the tent, like if your head's sliding downhill, that's really uncomfortable. And then if you're sleeping in the same tent as another person, if you're sliding towards another person that's really uncomfortable too and awkward and that person is going to crash inside of the tent. So, I always say, find the flattest spot possible and then figure out which way is uphill and put your head uphill. If you can't tell, you can tell it, it's probably not flat, but you can tell exactly which direction. You can actually get some water and pour it on the ground and see which way it runs, that's really effective way cause obviously, water runs downhill. And so, when you're pitching your tent, remember, find the flattest spot possible and then from there, always put your head uphill."
