This is going to help prepare their bodies for surgery so they're in the most healthy state that they can be going into surgery which will then help them come out of surgery a lot easier. Post surgery massage, again, is going to help them to heal better. Depending on the type of surgery that they've had, it can help close wounds faster, it can help with range of motion, it can help with stretching, and again it can also help with the circulation. It can help get anesthesia out of your dog's body system faster, and help with their white blood cells to help the dog heal themselves faster after surgery. So make sure you speak to a professional and help your dog get into and get out of surgery in the healthiest way that they can. Make sure that when you are doing massage post surgery that you're never touching the area that had surgery. You want to massage above and below the area and speak with your veterinarian."
