So when you're starting out your piece and you're deciding what your color patterns are going to look like, and your; your color and your pallet, you want to think about what you want to coming out of the painting at the viewer and what you want to be kind of fading into the back because the warm and cool colors in your knowledge are going to help you with that a lot. For example when we looked at the El Greco, the Jesus that just came right out at you. Because it’s pretty much the only warm color in the painting and the rest of the things kind of fade in the back. That's, you can do this when you understand warm and cool colors. And this advertisement is a really effective advertisement; I think it's very very good because the use of cool and warm colors in this, it's just so obvious; the red and then everything else is kind of a blue. What's popping out at you though, is I think the red and what they want is the jewels but it's an example of how things can pop; this is popping. Another example would be in this advertisement; really obvious use of warm and cool colors, red apples; blue sky. The apples are just coming right out at you because they're red. So you want to think of this when you're thinking of the colors for your painting depending on the materials.
