Also when you're painting it is a very good idea to get critiques, getting an outside opinion makes a big difference. Even when the person who is talking to you doesn't know much about art and isn't an artist themselves, a lot of times they can pick out things or just be like, oh actually that eye looks kind of off, doesn't it? Things like that, things you wouldn't necessarily pick up on yourself, even when you are moving around and looking at your painting. So try and get some sort of outside critique, and if it's possible, try and work with other artists, in like other studios spaces where there are other people around who are artists. It's very, very helpful. And maybe just working in a place where you know you're not going to be completely isolated, where there will be people around if it's possible, is a good idea. So just try to remember to get an outside opinion every once in awhile when you're painting. Just kind of like when you're moving on to something else in the painting, if you can go and get someone to give you an idea, even if they don't have much to say or whatever, it's good to be getting some sort of communication with others when you're doing your painting.
