"We're just going to look at a canvas really fast because this is something that's going to be a staple of your artistic supplies. It's a regular old canvas, this is the back of it, the front is actually painted on. You just want to make sure, the most important thing about your canvas, is making sure that it's tight enough, otherwise, you might want to take out the staples and re-stretch it yourself because a lot of times, they're not going to be tight enough. The way you can test is by taping the middle and seeing if it bounces back and that the bounce isn't taking too much. This one actually, is good, it's good enough. This will make a difference, if it's not tight enough, when you're painting. The paint will end up cracking, eventually, because it has too much room going on so you just want to be careful of that. The canvases come in all different shapes and sizes. Depending on your composition and what you're going to be painting, you're going to want to think about what kind and size you want."
