So we're going to put some paints on the palette right now. And there's actually a little bit of a method to how you might want to put your paints on the palette because of how you're going to be mixing them eventually. And try and remember to mix your paint on the palette and not on the painting because then you'll have the color for later if you want to use it again. And you're not going to get as many muddy colors on the painting, which is really important. So let's start out with white and you're going to be using white to mix with almost every color on the painting so you want to have it in a space where you can mix around, use it a lot. So we'll pick a corner of the palette and you're going to be using a lot of white in most things that you paint. So there we go. We have kind of a whole corner devoted to white. Now we're going to get the other primaries on there. This tool is going to come in handy when you're painting. OK, so put the red kind of in the middle, far enough away from the white. The blue can go closer to the red. OK. Now the green, which you're going to put on next, we're going to kind of put farthest away from the red because when they mix, they make a brown color that's not really good. So the idea is kind of putting the colors in a way that if they end up, cause as you're painting you're going to be mixing things. This is all going to get taken over by different colors and a lot of times they're going to run into each other. So you want to just make sure that they're closer to colors that aren't going to be making a muddy brownish color when they're right next to each other. OK. We know that yellow and red makes orange, so they're OK to be next to each other. Yellow and green are just going to make a froggier green, and yellow and white is going to be fine. Yellow and blue would make kind of a nasty color together, so they're farther apart. These two are farther apart. You have big space for the white.
