"Now that we have the basic face blocked in, we want to just kind of block in the rest of the painting, get the rest of it covered in paint so we know what we're working with and what areas we're going to be working in. So, we've got the face right here. Lets put something in the background, it looks like we got the American Flag. Things change around a lot but the good thing about acrylics is it's really easy to change. So, we're just blocking it in with what we think it's going to look like. It's going to be a floating face. Light in the background and then we have kind of a blueish color on the top. Lets say, just so we're focusing on the face, we're not going to put the hat, we'll just use hair so this is going to be, actually, a darker color. It's going to be like a brown. We'll make that by mixing green, blue and red. We're mixing the warm and cool colors together, which makes really dark kind of brown color that's great. Lets go ahead and toss that here. It's kind of a dark purple. So that's basic block in."
