"We want to start with the basic outline of the face. Let's look at our reference, this is it. We're just going to be doing the face right here. We've got the face, ear, a little bit of the ear this way, so let's go ahead and block that out on the painting. We're going to mix up a kind of fleshy color here, you'll get used to doing this, and seeing what works out, but we're just using some red, white, and yellow here. Let's put it on here, kind of just blocking it out, getting the outline of the face here. Get some water. This is just blocking it out so we see what we're working with. And then we want to get the ear, right here. So there we go."
