A real simple exercise and one that actually can build up your, vocabulary, your visual vocabulary that is, is sort of basically a take on Pictionary. Somebody gives you a word and then you draw whatever the visual is that comes into your mind. So you know, if somebody said tear you know, I would be thinking crying so the first thing I would draw is a tear shape. I mean that's a very common you know sort of notion but you know, maybe I want to really you know think about floods of tears and so I might draw lots of them. So once I've got the, once I've started the idea by just saying tear then I'm going to say and maybe I'll have a pool down here with ripples in it with a tear sort of coming down and then it sort of splashes. I've seen a picture of the, of this somewhere where it kind of comes down and then it's, it kind of comes up and splashes. So there's my tears coming down, this one actually has to be bigger but you know I started something just by connecting to a word. So you know there's really no excuse for saying "Well it's too muddy outside, I'm stuck I don't know where to take this painting" Go refresh yourself and play Pictionary with yourself.
