"Let's talk now about how to connect your fishing leader, your monofilament and fluorocarbon line to a jig or a hook. Some people use snap swivels to do this. So, the line would simply be tied to this end and then the swivel would be attached to your hook or your jig and then closed. This would be how you fish. However, look at this although you can get smaller snap swivels this swivel is just about as big as your jig. When you're fishing you don't want any excessive baggy type of equipment or tackle impeding the action of your jig or also impeding a fish from coming in and thinking this is food. While this might look; the jig might look like food this certainly does not. So, I would highly recommend not using snap swivels to connect either a hook or a jig to your line. Although they are easy because you simply snap them and you can put on another lure, always connect your line directly to your hook or jig simply by typing a knot. Even though you have to cut the knot and retie in between jigs or to change your jig it's still a much better way to fish."
