"Let's talk for a moment about how to use a jig strike indicator. And this is a very good way to be able to detect very small or light bites from fish. The cinch is just a piece of foam with a coil, metal coil on the front. And what you do before you attach your leader to your jig line, you simply thread this through so that the line can freely move through it, then you would tie on your barrel swivel, your leader and your jig or your hook. And all you do then is thread this back until you get to the first eyelet on your jig rod. It's foam so you just very softly insert that in until its just secure. Again, this now allows you to both let line out and to take line in case you do get a fish. And you can see just how much more sensitive that coil tip is than my rod tip. It allows you to detect any bite there is no matter whether it's a two inch minnow or a twenty inch bass. These can really increase your efficiency on the ice. They only cost a dollar or two. You can find them at Cabellas at most Wall Marts. So they're a very good thing to have in your tackle box."
