Power Fishing With an Ice Fishing Jig

"Here's another jigging technique for you. It's called power fishing, and this can be used for attracting fish, for fishing when the fish are very aggressive, or sometimes even when they're not. If you get, sometimes you can get what's called a reaction bite out of fish, and essentially that's just putting that lure aggressively right in their face. So what I'm going to do to power fish, again, I'm going to start at the bottom, right right near the the very, the very bottom of the of the lake, and all I'm going to do when I power fish is I'm going to very rapidly bring that lure up, and then I'm going to let it go back down. Now, typically you want to bring it up maybe one or two feet. There's no need to bring it up that far, because typically when you power fish, those fish are going to hit as your jig is dropping. So what you hope to do is to do this four or five times, and on one of those, boom, you're going to have a fish."
