"All right, let's talk about probably the most popular ice fishing method in terms of tackle, and that's a tip up, also called a jack, a flag. A lot of different names for it, depending on where in the country you are, but it all comes down to the very basic, same basic method, and it's simply a cross of wood, to allow you to stick this down to the hole. There's a reel that holds all your line, to which your hook is attached to. There's a flag, a piece of metal here on a hook, and the way that it works, is you just, you would bait up your hook. Put it down in the hole. Close this back, and you can see there's a, there's a little tab right there, so you put that down, hook your flag in, and then what you would do, is bait your hook, lower this down to the hole, and watch what happens when a fish takes the line. This spins, moves this, and your flag will pop up, and that's how you know you get a bite."
