"Another option that's out there now for bait to use for jigs is artificial maggots, and these are mainly, again for panfish, for perch. A bunch of different companies make different ones, essentially they're not a natural product, but they don't contain plastic, they disperse a scent into the water calm, they come in all sorts of different colors in order to attract fish, this one happens to be chartreuse. These are not for human consumption, so you don't want to eat these, let your pets eat them. But it's similar to baiting anything else with these, I would typically put the hook in about half way through, put it up, normally I probably want to put about 2 or 3 of these on a hook, you can rig them that way, you can also try to put the hook more lengthwise to cover a larger portion of the hook, and then you put it down the hole and wait for the fish to bite."
