"Alright let's talk now about how to bait a jig with a night crawler and there are many many different ways to do it again depending on what type of jig you are using, what species of fish you are fishing for. If I wanted to rig a night crawler on to a vertical jig such as this probably one of the easiest ways to do it is just to put it through the night crawler a couple of times, let it hang and dangle and if you are fishing for fish they are going to come up and take the whole thing but if you are fishing for pan fish say with a smaller jig the easiest way to do it is to simply break off a small piece of the night crawler just like that so that there is less bait for the fish to just pick off and they are more likely to get the hook in their mouth. For more of a horizontal jig such as this one probably the best way to do it is to just put the hook into the crawler, run it down an inch or two and then bring it right up on the hook. Again you are going to be fishing it horizontally so that the crawler can move all around and attract the fish."
