"Let's talk now about how to bait a jig with a minnow. Now these are some various jigs, both a vertical jig which hangs like that. And a horizontal jig, which sits like this in the water, calm. And depending on what type of jig you want to use, will determine how you want to hook your minnow. So typically on a vertical jig, you're going to simply want to hook that minnow through its lips. Just like that. And then it's going to hang there and as you fish it up and down, if the minnows alive it's going to twitch, it's going to move. If it's dead it will move with the motion of the jig. Now you could also, with this jig hook that minnow through the back, and then again you're going to have that presentation. It's going to be slightly different. Another way to do that if you want even more action is to hook that minnow through the tail. Again depending on where you hook that the minnow is going to depend on what the action looks like to the fish. Now for the horizontal jig, such as this, the easiest way to do that is to put that right into the minnows mouth, and then bring it up through the back bone, so that if the minnow sits vertically with the lure, just like that."
