"The materials needed for this project are pretty much things that you would find at home. We are going to use newspaper, it can be any size. I do recommend that it's the black and white, not a heavy heavy thickness but something that is easily folded and manipulated. We are also going to use masking tape, definitely not scotch tape because we want to paint this project eventually and masking tape will still hold that paint color. That is basically the shape of the project, then we are going to paint and when we paint we are going to use an acrylic paint for the base coat. I don't recommend Tempra paints, they have too much of a gel medium to they don't dry as well. The acrylic paint will actually dry and harden and keep the snake's shape. For embellishing we can use a glitter paint and this is a Tempra but we are going to coat over the top of the acrylic so this is no problem as far as putting it on once we have done the acrylic. We will use our paintbrushes for painting. I've got some water here for changing out colors and then for embellishing, we are going to use some googley eyes which are always fun. Googley eyes for the eyes. We are going to use some sequins to make our snake bright and shiny and fun and we are going to use a pipe cleaner for the tongue. These products can be found in your craft store, in your local art supply store or you may just have them on hand."
