"So today we are making the newspaper snake. We can make it with a variety of materials but we have chosen newspaper because it is reusable and recyclable. This is a great project for ages three and up, however; I do recommend that there is a parent nearby to help out with some of the steps of the project. Rolling and shaping the snake can sometimes be difficult for little hands but for the most part after that is really up to the child what they decide to do. They can put their own spin on it completely in an individualized family friendly project. I have had children up to the ages of 13 and 14 who love to do this project. They really can take it to any limits. There is no limit to the creativity that can be done, the shape, the color, the form the face so this is an individual unique project, family friendly and really can be done by any age. Younger ages should definitely have a parent's supervision and parent help throughout."
