"We just mentioned the fibroids and how much pain it causes for the woman. If we treat it earlier with acupunctures and herbs, we can avoid surgery. But, what if it grows so fast and the only choice is surgery? Removal of the uterus and ovaries, that's called a hysterectomy. After that, we have a whole bunch of other symptoms, the vaginal dryness, the urinary incontinence and the prolapse of the bladder. That can change our life dramatically. Using acupuncture, we can strengthen the bladder muscle, enhancing the adrenal gland to produce more estrogen and progestin. That helps us to control the frequent urination and also help us to fight with the dryness of the vagina. Another choice is to using estrogen cream but again, that could lead to cancer."
