"The legs are in place and we're ready to start adding some paint to the body. I'm going to use a gel-like tempera glitter paint, it's nice and light. You could also use an acrylic paint for this if you like, and you could do more of a design on this. But what I'm going to do is I'm just going to dash and give it some color. You can mix the colors. The fun thing about using this tempera glitter is that you really don't need to wash your brush in between if you're using similar colors because they blend really nicely and it kind of has a translucent look to it. So we can take it all the way down, changing up the color, adding some others, we can also paint the head. But we'll take it down and we'll change it up a little bit as we go, giving him the affect of maybe reflections from the pond. And just lightly painting as we go along, we want to make sure we don't add too much paint, otherwise it's going to weigh our loops down."
