"Once the paint is dry we're ready to start cutting. My paint isn't completely dry but I'm going to go ahead and cut these anyway. If you have decorative scissors, they make a fun cut. Here is an example of that cut, which will be nice along the wing. I'm going to use the straight scissors and go right along the edge of the marker. We can always trim it a little bit more as we go and we can always take it down a little bit. So there's really no way to make a mistake here. And this is a great time if your child has gone over the edge and painted outside the lines, we're just going to trim that off. And we're going to leave those to the side. You're going to continue cutting all of the wings out just the same way, setting them off to the side. This might be a better part of the project for a mom or a dad to do."
