"So we're going to try to see if we can get this pot off of here without it collapsing so what I'm doing, we want to get that out too. Don't forget when you are making big pots like this to get the scum out of the bottom there, so I've got my sponge on the stick, put the sponge on the stick down to the bottom of the pot, and get all that goopy stuff up. That stuff down there that sits on the bottom of your pot will slowly deteriorate the bottom and when you go to look at your pot the next day you have a big hole in there as if something at it all out that is the water so take your potter's knife and just start removing clay but be real gentle. Take a look at your pot and make sure it hasn't moved and I'm going to go get another tool and remove some more clay."
