Creating Pottery Handles for Noodle Bowls

"OK, now that we have let our noodle bowl set up a little bit. We want to come back and put these fun little handles on them and the way you do that is to make sure your hands are nice and dry and all you got to do is you come in and you squeeze it together like so. Alright and you're not done yet you got to get them all together. Don't worry about all them finger prints we can clean all that up. Just like that and that's starting to get to where the handle is but when you do that it pushes the bowl forward. So you need to kick it back on itself a little bit. Just like that. Straighten it out I mean you don't have to if you don't want to. I prefer to do that just to keep things centered. OK, so that one just like that and you let is set up for a minute. It's almost there so you take your other one and do the same thing. Come in, come in, push it you seal it and you seal it all the way down and you have to make sure that this is all sealed because if this opens up during the firing process. Your bowl will become worthless because the liquids will spill out the handle and so that's sitting forward like that. Once again I am going to take it kick it back and now come back to the first one and all you have to do is get yourself something to make a perfect hole with. Maybe that's a little too big but we want to do is get a nice finger hole in here. So we'll establish how big it's going to be and then we'll come back and we'll cut it out."
