"The next set of bits will start to introduce the concept of leverage. Regardless of what kind of a mouthpiece the bit has if the reins attach to anything that brings the rein in a fixed position slightly below where the mouthpiece or the bars of the bit attach to the ring. Even if it's a snaffle it is going to require some kind of a device a curve strap or like this or a curve chain that's going to put that leverage in it's proper place. This bit is kind of fancy with a spot for the reins. One that I like a lot it's a step up from and it can create much more assertive control on a horse that may need it but your not ready to go to that port that will go too shortly. It has a number of features that help to keep it a soft and quiet bit in their mouth. We have this O ring in the center that prevents it from creating what we call the nut cracker effect. On a simple snaffle if the rider pulls back and it has that kind of leverage. That mechanism can be so severe that it can actually crush the bars of the horses jaw. We see horses that even acquire bone spurs in that area because of what we call that nut cracker effect but on this bit because of the nature of this O ring in the center it's going to fold up and never create that kind of pressure. It also has some copper to copper wrapping which creates that salivation as well as texture so it's going to make this house be more mindful based on that. Something a little less than smooth adds a little more of an assertive nature. An important part of any horse or any bit with leverage is that we do attach the curve chain to the nearest place close to the cheek piece. I've seen many a professional surprising to me that would put this curve strap even down here near the rein. We have to understand the science behind the leverage and that it only works when attached to near or in the same hole as the cheek piece."
