Growing Yellow Wax Peppers

"Hi, I'm Stan DeFreitas, "Mr. Green Thumb". This happens to be the Hungarian, yellow wax pepper, and it's one that's easy to grow. You can see even as a small plant, it's got pepper started. It probably will have peppers in about 45 to 50 days. So it's one of the earlier plants as far as from the time you start it to the time that you'll be harvesting these peppers. Now they're not as hot as some of the varieties, so you can use it in a number of other dishes as well. Remember all peppers need about 6 hours of bright sun a day. Also of course, you're going to improve the soil; extra peat, extra cow manure, really improve the soil. Make a $10 hole for your $2 plant, and you're almost always better off. Peppers do require extra fertilization, so if you're using a water soluble, I'd say about every maybe every other watering, give it a good shot of a good liquid plant food at about half strength, and you'll get as many peppers as you see in the stores, and good sized peppers as well.
