"Well we've got finally our slot cut. It takes several passes to do that and I've got my little rasp here and I'm just going to go up and down my slot here a little bit and clean out any little fuzz or fur that happens a lot of time when you are making deep cuts with a router. You have little bits of wood sticking out like that so just clean it up and I'm going to take my carriage bolt with a wing nut on the end of it and take that little wingy off and take the big washers off and keep them all together, put this down in there. So that's real good, that's just a little bit deeper than it needs to be and it slides pretty well. Like I was saying before, sometimes you might need to just take a little piece of sand paper and clean up your edge, sometimes there are little slivers that will stick out and make it difficult to slide the carriage bolt back and forth. That should be ok now. It's still a little bit rough in there but I'll clean that up with some sandpaper a little bit later on. Now we can put this jig up against our miter guide and start adjusting it so that we can cut finger joints."
