"And we've got this going over here. So we've got something happening here where they're very even, and we've got shapes. Now I've got this shape here as opposed to this shape here. I've got like a long, skinny rectangle and I've got a triangle here. I've got another triangle here separated by another long, skinny rectangle. Well, that might not work out so well. What happens if I move, this is kind of close to the edge of the page, so maybe I'll keep this very close to the edge of the page, so I have this skinny little thing here, and we'll just curve up there, and I like this big "V" shape over there so what I'm going to do is add that "V" shape in. I don't like it going down there so I'm just going to pretend like I've started it there, it's always awkward to have a point at the end. But again, I'm trying to find a balance where I've got shapes that are interesting that balance each other, but that create interesting background shape as well as the foreground shape. Here is the foreground shape here of the tree, here is the background, and I want them to be equally interesting. So you do series of these until you find the combination that goes "aha" and you'll know it when you see it."
