While we're on the topic of graphite there's another type of pencil that you may not be familiar with. They now make what they call water-soluble graphite pencils. It will say water-soluble on the pencil and these do come in grade so I have an HB here and an 8B. The 8B is going to get a lot darker than the HB will and the way that these work is you can, you can do this a couple of ways. You can put down a line and then you can go in with, with water this time just with water and you can wet it out so that you can create a value with that line. And we'll try it now with the number eight which is going to, this time I'll do a large amount of, a large shape. And again we're going to use water and again you'll want to use a cheap throw away kind of chip brush but you can see that this sort of eases out the charcoal the, the graphite marks and again you can create. This is sort of like using pen in ink except that you can, you know, when you spill this it's not nearly as dilatorious to your clothes as ink is and again you can play around with washes. Now like anytime you do wet graphite whether it's with water or in the other example with alcohol. Once you've wet it, it is not erasable so you need to you know have, sort of have planned where you want the washes before you get it wet because once it's wet it's there.
