"Hi my name is Dave Schoeneck. I'm talking about skiing with spinal cord injuries. When it comes to skiing and adaptive sports, your mindset is a very big part of it. We have individuals that come up to us that had their spinal cord injuries due to skiing. And many people will not go back near a mountain. However, they've really expanding their ability to enjoy life by getting back on the mountain. We had a gentleman Gael, who's a doctor, who broke his back two years ago while in a snow board competition and he is having just so much fun. And has advanced so rapidly, and in the last two years that we are just trilled for him. We have young individuals, 18 year old girl with a car accident. Elaina, who is just having a great time. Who has never skied prior to this. Again it’s a little bit of leap of faith. But I can't urge you enough to take that leap because it will be well worth your time. Energy and effort, cause it is an awful lot of fun and you will look forward to the winter months. Hi I'm Gael. Before I used to snowboard a lot. And I got hurt actually here at snowbird. Just exactly two years ago on March 4, 2006. I was doing a slope style contest and I over shot the landing. And I fell 40 feet. And I shattered my back, and I never thought that I would be back on the slopes."
