"There are many approaches to modifying your design to moving it around and getting something to happen. This design is very predictable and the same thing's happening over and over and over. So the first thing I'm going to do is change the positive and negative space. So I've started, you know, here's my grid, here are my triangles filling the grid. What I'm going to do in this row is I am going to switch around. I am going to make white triangles in the middle and fill in the rest in black. So in other words it's like I've cut the shape out the other way. So I'm switching which part of the square of the grid gets dark and which part gets white. OK, so you can see the difference there. And this can really help you on with your design. Because I might decide on this row, I'm going to do the same thing. I kind of like what that's happening so much I'm going to do this."
