"How do you go about looking at your own work a little more objectively and sort of seeing what you can do to tighten up your own work? And you know give it as much attention as Leonardo and Paul Clay have. Here I have a picture drawing by M.C. Escher. And I thought it was sort of appropriate because you really you know it's about holding your sort of creative your creative ideas in your hand and really being able to identify them. We can tell just from this picture what Escher thinks is important creatively. He thinks you you know values are important. Realism is certainly important to him. Where are you on the realism scale. Is it important to you to get all the details right? He's obviously also from this picture you can tell that he's a detail-oriented person. Are you? Is that what drives some of your art? And if it is, are you using the best tool for that? He's using graphite which is an excellent tool for getting a lot of very fine detail."
