"OK. I'm going to take you into the preferences menu once again. I'm going to show you something that's actually one of the most important parts of Reason, which is picking a controlling surface. So, it's very easy to get to. Once again you'll step into the preferences menu and there'll be the list at the top. Of the list you'll choose keyboards and control surfaces. Now, it says here "Use this page to add and set up control surfaces, including midi keyboards. One of your midi keyboards will automatically be made the master keyboard. This is the keyboard you use for playing devices in Reason." So, this is exactly that. You know, you can either auto detect your surfaces which is very easy to do. All you do is you press this button here, but I'm just going to show you real quick how to do it manually. Basically you'll come here. If there is no controller surface here you'll just go to add, you go under the manufacturer, and of course there are a lot of different manufacturers for controller surfaces. You just choose the one that matches up with your own. There will be a little picture of yours that comes up. You can rename yours if you'd like to. Mine is called Korg Gorgenson, a very classy name. So, we're just setting up some of the surfaces. Control midi in port, now it will find it automatically for you and basically it almost will set up itself; either way. So, now your midi out, micro control midi out. OK. So it's all set up and now Korg Goregesen is ready and willing. You can also auto detect the surface, which doesn't even take that long. It will scan. This is the surface that we're using now. That is how you detect your controller surface."
