"Once you've gotten on top of the unicycle and you're stable and you have whatever it is that you've got to hold on to you've got to start riding. Now one of the most common mistakes like I said before is leaning, leaning way back like this and it's really important that you try to keep all of your balance right over the wheel. Right over the point of contact on the ground. You should be able to not have to hold on to this very hard. If the only way that you're staying up is because you're holding on to this, you're doing it wrong. You should put very little pressure as little pressure as possible on this. It should only be to stabilize you when you need it. Then you want to have your back straight and you want to look straight forward and you want to slowly try to ride forward a little bit by little bit and don't let the wheel get out in front of you. You want to stay balanced right on top the entire time you're trying to ride forward. What you're going to do is you're going to keep working on doing that along a rail or you can hold somebody's hand and do it and so you get better and better and you don't need to hold on to the rail anymore."
