"The first step to unicycling, unicycling is obviously you have to get on the unicycle. So what you're going to do first is you're going to put the seat in between your legs and then you're going to find something to hold on to. You can use a chain link fence or the top of a wooden fence that will work really well too. But it's really really helpful if you've got something to stabilize yourself while you're getting started. Next what you want to do is be really really sure to follow these instructions is to make sure that whatever foot you're putting on first that pedal has to pointed down. Lots of people want to have the pedal pointed out or up because that's what you're used to doing on a bicycle. But if you do that remember it's direct drive the whole thing is going to fly out in front of you. So remember to put the pedal either down or down and pointed a little bit backward. So it will roll underneath you and you're going to put one hand on the wheel to stabilize it and another hand on the rail and then you're just going to step right on to it. When you're on top don't hold on to the seat. Just stay there and get your balance and that's how you first get on to your unicycle."
