"Now we're going to be talking about direction of the ball. Basically, you have two directions that we're going to be talking about. We have cross ward which is when you go from the right side of your court to the right side of your opponent's court and then we have down the line when we go from the right side of your court to the left side of your court. If you are right handed and your opponent is right handed, it's going to be forehand against forehand on the cross ward it's going to be forehand against their backhand on the down the line. When you want to hit it cross ward, you going to prepare for your forehand shot as we talked about previously, bring your racquet down. You're going to be hitting the ball just a little more in front of you and this is going to be basically the point where you're going to be impacting the ball. If you see it, the face of my racquet is basically looking to that direction where I'm going to be hitting on and that's the basics of tennis where you impact the ball, the way your racquet is looking, that's going to be determining the direction of the ball. For forehand on the line, the same concept; you're going to be hitting the ball. You're going to hit it just a little more behind."
