"Now we are going to be talking about shoes. Tennis shoes are very important, because that's what's going to give you stability and support on the tennis court. You don't want to play with too old of tennis shoes, because we say at the beginning tennis is a very high impact sport. So, you're not only going to be staying on your toes and you're going to be staying a lot of stop on your shoes. So, your shoes have to a very strong grip. That puts a lot of pressure on your knees. So, you want to make sure that your shoes are not too old, because old shoes are going to have less padding and that's going to be bad for your knees and your hips. Also you want to make sure that your shoes have plenty of grip so that you don't slide on it. Very, very, very important is to use tennis shoes on the tennis court. Tennis shoes are made of a very strong material that is going to give support at the front of them, over here, because you're going to do a lot of dragging of your toe like this. So, it's good that your toe is going to be protected. Also, they're going to have leather in this side to make sure that your feet stay stable and doesn't move. An example of what you shouldn't be using on the tennis court is the shoes that Tracy is wearing them. She's wearing running shoes. Running shoes are great for running, because they give you a lot of bouncing and big, big steps, but they're not good for tennis, because they do not allow you to do quick fast steps. They make you move really, really slow. They do not protect your feet and you can get injured because of that. So, again very, very important you need a good pair of tennis shoes with good support and a good grip."
