"This exercise is called alternating knees, and we're going to be utilizing the steps in our house, or you can use your steps on your front porch, back porch, wherever you can find stairs. This is something you can do in your own home. Now, for doing alternating knees, it's a great cardio exercise. So you're really going to elevate that heart rate, break a little bit of a sweat. So you can utilize this exercise as a warm up, or even as a cardio exercise in and of itself. What you want to do is come up to your stairs, you want to make sure you get your whole foot on top to the step and lower down. So you lift your knee, down, down, step, knee, down, down, step, knee, down, down. Now when you feel comfortable with this, you can start to bring it up. And then you can start going side to side with your alternating knees. Now you want to make sure that you're shoulders are back, your abs are pulled in, always think about your posture in every exercise that you do. And really feel that heart rate get up. If you want to add a little bit of power you can jump up with the knee. Okay, those are your alternating knees on the stairs."
