"So looking at double stops in particular, before when we we're learning our arpeggios you might of heard me mention playing double stops before. Double stops can be half step or whole step. Before when we we're learning our arpeggios and we we're learning the double stops we we're learning them to use your fingers as anchors. So by practicing the double stops it helps you practice the major intervals in the violin that you're going to encounter. So practicing your thirds, your fourths, your fifths, and your sixth, these are all double stops you can use to your advantage to help you play in tune regardless of which position you're going to be playing in. So for right now we want to be learning it in second but you can apply the same intervals the same double stops in other positions as well. So they are not only are going to help reinforce your skills but your pitches as well and also when you're playing your other pieces and you're finding a lot of double stops by practicing them now when you encounter them in your pieces you'll be very well equipped to play those particular pieces."
