Summary: Pull the towel up with one hand and down with the other for static triceps extensions. Learn how to do static triceps extensions using a towel from a professional fitness instructor in this free exercise videos.
"This exercise is called the Static Tricep Extension. And we really don't have to have any dumbbells or weights to get a good workout. Just grab your towel from the linen closet, you can use a bath towel or a hand towel. And what you want to do is you want to grab the towel over head. So you've got one hand at the bottom of the towel and one hand at the top. And all you're going to do is just pull in opposition. So we call this a static movement because, well actually there is no movement. It's static because there is a muscle contraction, but there is no movement. So, we actually call that Isometric. But if you continue to pull on the towel, you're going to feel the burn in your tricep muscles. So hold this, anywhere between thirty seconds to a minute and then switch to the other side. Keep your abdominal muscles pulled in, remember that posture, and then relax when you're finish. So that is your Tricep Static Extension."
