"I am going to take the sponge here. Don't get it too wet but you want to get that rim up there and go like that and that's perfect. Before we do anything else we want to make this thing look good like the other one, flatten it out. Put that swirl in there so the glaze has got something to fall on just give it a little potter's mark there. You are going to come down with this tool and keep your fingers behind the piece so you know how far down you are going and boom. You have a plate."
