"Alright now that we've got it flat like that I decided that I want the total, the part of the bottom before we go and make the walls; the bottom of the plate is going to be that wide. So I'm going to take a look and see how far out I have to go. Maybe like 1/2 an inch or an inch on each side. So just going to flatten it out one more time maybe. And when I'm flattening it out this guy is wanting to get off center so I'm taking it in with my pinkie making sure it doesn't get off center when I karate chop it down like that. And I'm using my hand like this. My pinkie's down here holding the clay and I'm using my hand on top to flatten it out so it's spreading out and my pinkie spreads out with the clay. But it also forces it in on itself. Alright so I've gotten as far out as I want because it's still going to go out further while I make the bottom. So let's get it wet again. The indentation on there. Alright now I've got my whole hand around this thing and I'm just flattening it out with my, the meat of this right here. So I'm making it kind of go like this. It's going to come in and we're going to go ahead and make a little groove like that. And from there we're going to start making this into a plate."
