"Once again, cleaning that slop off my hands because I don't really need it anymore, and putting it over here. Now I've got it maybe about that far away from the edge of the bat. What we want to do at this point is compress some more. We want to start making the bottom. We want to start making this thing. Make it look like something already. This is how you do it, get down deep on it. You've got to remember, we're going to trim this thing tomorrow. You want to leave enough clay down there where you can get a trim on it. If it gets off centered, you've got to center it up just like that. Take this guy, potter's knife again, and bring it down to the bottom here, clean her up. Now, we're going to check to see how thick it is with the needle tool. Perfect. That leaves me just enough room so I can get a nice foot on it, nice ledge on the back, so I can put little holes in it so we can hang it on the wall for grandma. This is where it gets fun. We've got to flatten it out, find that funky little spot right there that's being mean. Alright, found it."
