Why design fashion for models? According to J.P. Prewitt, famous hand model of Bulova fame, models are genetically constructed to become something great: “They’re in peak physical condition. They can gain entry to the most secure places in the world. And most important of all, models don’t think for themselves. They do as their told.” It seems only natural to want the fashion you design to be hanging on perfect limbs and torsos. Because of the popularity of shows like Project Runway, and others, fashion design has become a fad readily consumed by our tweenagers and teenie-boppers. In this free video series our expert fashion designer will show you how to draw two piece bathing suit designs. You will learn how to draw a variety of fashion designs for bathing suits including boy shorts and tub top bathing suits, 1980's high cut bikinis, volley ball bathing suits and thong bathing suits. If you are interested in designing bathing suits let our expert in fashion design show you the basics of bathing suit design.
"Here is our first two piece bathing suit variation. This design I did a few years ago for actually a lingerie collection that I was doing but anything that you do like that, lingerie, swimsuits, they are pretty much adaptable to each other, just change little things. This is a more sporty style. I have a mens' wear inspired boxer brief boy short bottom and then a tube top with some straps giving it more flare as opposed to just the tube top straight across so that way it kind of mixes the sexy and sporty and again one of my favorite things to do is to use the body to draw my designs on, the actual whatever it is I'm designing like the lines on the bathing suit curve where her hips curve, it just tends to give it more movement, more elegance and this is where we will draw it which is pretty self explanatory, tube top, straps, and then dip low in the front, keeping it low cut like a boxer brief and there you go."
