"Okay, now that we've got all the clay where we want it to be, and it comes to the top, and the bottom, it's as high as I want it to go. I'm going to put some, you can actually throw clay, you don't have to - clay, everyone thinks of throwing clay, you have to throw it, it's going to go up, but you can throw down, you put clay wherever you want it. So this thick, this rim up here is kind of thick, so I'm going to use some of that clay and I'm going to throw it down into the belly. And I'm going to take this clay from the bottom and I'm going to throw it up into the belly, okay. See how that happened? And now we have a mass of clay right here. The rim is about where I want it, the bottom is about where I want it. This is thick right now but it's not going to be thick when I'm done giving it its belly. I'm going to - it's all about placing the clay at the right places so it doesn't buckle. You got to think even when it's something as simple as a coffee mug you want to think many steps ahead, you don't want to just deal with it when you end up there. If you place the clay in the right spots of the pot you'll be able to create any form that you want, but you have to think ahead of time, so we're going to now put a belly on this."
