"I'm Keeley Selvage, with Keeley's Skin Solutions, I've been a Licensed Clinical Aesthetician for over half a decade and I'm going to talk to you about whether or not Laser Hair Removal is safe. In short, it can be, you have to make sure of a couple things first. First of all, before and after the treatment, you want to stay out of the Sun for at least a minimum of two weeks. Now the reason for that, before the treatment, is because the Laser is going to be attracted to the pigment of the hair. But, if it's attracted to the Pigment, that means it's going to be attracted to the pigment in your skin as well. So, don't get a tan, you want to be as pale as you possibly can be. That way, all that energy goes to the hair itself. Now for after the treatment, you want to stay out of the Sun because that Laser is going to sensitize your skin a little bit. You're going to burn much easier and also you could rick a chance of hyper pigmentation. That means that that skin in that area could get darker, and then that's a whole another series of treatments you might have to do. So you want to absolutely avoid the Sun at all costs. You also want to make sure that your Technician is experienced. The Laser requires different energy levels depending on your skin type, and the color of your hair. So therefore, you want to make sure that your Technician knows what he or she is doing and that they're going to give you the proper treatment at the right energy. My name is Keeley Salvage with Keeley's Skin Solutions, and that is talking about whether or not Laser Hair Removal is safe."
