"I'm Keeley Selvage with Keeley's Skin Solutions. I've been a licensed clinical aesthetician for over half a decade and I'm going to talk to you about removing wrinkles using a laser. Now first, I'm going to give you a little bit of background information into how it works. Now collagen in our skin, we all have collagen, is a beautiful and wonderful thing. What happens is when we cause an injury, really, to collagen, then it rebuilds itself. Have you ever seen a scar, maybe that puffs up a little bit? It's called a keloid scar. What that is is the collagen rebuilding itself so much actually that it causes that little bump. Well, that will happen in our face as well. Therefore when we use a laser on the skin, we'll take a section and really heat the skin up and heat the collagen up so that that collagen feels like it needs to rebuild itself, and it does, in about three weeks. So it works excellent for that. There's also a laser, a CO2 laser, and that works in a different way. It's much more invasive. There's a little bit of down time involved, and what that does it really causes a superficial wound on the skin, so that again our skin and the collagen will rebuild itself and really create scar tissue that is beautiful and baby smooth. My name is Keeley Selvage with Keeley's Skin Solutions and that is how you remove wrinkles using a laser."
