"Hello, I'm Cheri Ashwood. I'm a Guidance Counselor and today I'm going to tell you how much does a Bacteriologist make. A Bacteriologist is a scientist that basically studies a single cell organism that you may better know as bacteria. There are about ten thousand different species of bacteria that have been identified and new ones are being found everyday. If this information excites you, then, the study of bacteria or microbiology might be a good field for you. You're going to make roughly $60,000 and that will vary as a Bacteriologist and it's probably going to require some post-graduate study. That is a Bachelors degree and beyond. I would strongly suggest a love of Math and a very high scientific ability. There'll be lot of it in the study to pursue this career. A Bacteriologist maybe involve in research and experiments. You may do presentations and write reports on health and safety. You may be employed by different laboratories, possibly even hospitals and health institutions to study bacteria and relay your findings.
