"Hi I'm Teri and in this segment I'm going to teach you how to keep your New Year's resolutions. Now that you've chosen one New Year's resolution to stick to, let's try to keep it shall we. Now pick something of course that's realistic, and once you've chosen that let's say I write I want to lose five pounds, I'm going to write that down somewhere and I'm going to keep this card with me. So every time I get discouraged, any time I you know walk by a donut store or anytime I open my fridge, I might have this in my pocket and I remind myself, listen I want to lose these five pounds so I'll feel good about the way I look and with what I wear. So write it down on a sheet of paper, keep it with you always. And or even write a few, have some posted notes and stick them up on your fridge maybe, your car, places where you might be tempted to cheat. And they will always remind you to hold on to your resolution. Also you might want to replace a bad habit with a good habit, so you know for example I like to snack on you know chips and cookies and sweets well I can just replace that with snacking on healthy food like carrots and celery and you know fresh tomatoes, stuff like that, broccoli, cauliflower. So I still get that enjoyable snacking but I'm replacing the bad foods with the good foods. And the last thing is don't get discouraged. If at first you don't see results well just wait a little while, results don't happen overnight. It takes some time, so keep with your resolution, keep up with it, stay positive and I'm sure that you'll accomplish your goal. And that's how to keep your New Year's resolution."
