"Hi, I'm Teri and in this segment I'm going to teach you how to give yourself your own facial massage. Now the first thing you want to do is you want to have your hair pulled back in either a head band or a bandanna or something like this, like a spa bandanna, so it keeps it out of your face. And then you want to get yourself into something comfy, pajamas, housecoat, anything that you feel that you're going to be able to relax in and then it's o.k. if something drips on it. You also want to make sure that your hands are thoroughly washed. That way when you're rubbing into your face, you're not rubbing any dirt or excess oil into your face. Now all you really need is either a massage oil or light cream, something non-greasy. This is an excellent vitamin E cream which is great for the skin and rejuvenates your skin cells, or just a nice light oil free moisturizer. Either one will work. And you just squirt a little bit into your hand. And I like to start at the top and work my way right down to the jaw line. So, we carry a lot of tension up here, this is often how we get headaches, tension headaches is up in the forehead area. So you want to spend a lot of time up there. And you can do it in a few different ways. You can do long strokes along your forehead from the inside to the out, applying a bit of pressure. That always feels really nice. Or you can do circular motions as well. I usually do both. You want to work your way from the top all the way down to your temple area. You know your temple area, you want to be fairly gentle with. Because if you press too hard it actually hits a pressure point and you can feel it. So you want to be fairly gentle and use your discretion and message in. Now when you're doing the eye and nasal area, just lightly tap. You don't want to be rubbing under such light thin skin area. And then of course you want to work your way into circular motions in the cheek area right up until you get into your jaw, the TMG joint where your two upper and lower jaw meet, you want to put some pressure on there and really give that a good message. And then work your way all the way down in your jaw and even into your neck is good as well. You can do that for five, ten, fifteen minutes, however you feel you need for the day. If you've had a longer, stressful day, do a longer message. If you just want a nice light one, that'll perk you up as well. And that's how to give yourself a facial message."
